Business Design Portfolio
In addition to my academic and creative interests, I have twenty years of work experience in the arenas of marketing communications, public relations, development, and design for business and nonprofit institutions. Below is a representative sampling of the various projects and work that I have produced. My experience includes three years of publications and event coordination for a major civic organization in Portland, Oregon; five years of strategic communication, public relations,
and fundraising projects for clients at a full-service social change consulting firm; 10+ years of experience as a development professional and administrator for nonprofit arts institutions (including the one that I founded); and five years as a strategist and business development director in the experience design sector – working with museums, major media brands, and corporations. Design, Strategy, and Prototyping
I have worked with design teams as a strategist conducting field research, analyzing data, composing content and storylines, creating evaluative tools, developing prototypes, and designing written and visual materials to guide client projects. I have also worked to test a variety of user interfaces, exhibit environments, and interactive storylines where digital technology is used to enhance museum exhibits, retail environments, and cultural events.
